Time for some changes

2017 has been a year of changes for Coventry Slings and the team. We’ve had twins born, children starting school, and have all taken on new jobs alongside existing ones and the Coventry Slings works.

Coventry Slings has struggled this year, we are struggling with volunteers, and with far fewer customers than the last three years. We’ve also had some incredible highs with MBCC and the launch of the newborn hire scheme.

But we are having to look at some changes. From December we will no longer be having meets at the Quaker Meeting House. We will be trialling two meet locations during December at Serene Lounge cafe in Mount Nod and Backhaus cafe at Fargo Village. Moving to these venues means we won’t be charging for entry, and will be leaving provision of refreshments to the experts! We will however ask that people who come to the meets for assistance with their own sling pay £2 for the 15 minute advice slot, to cover our time. For now, the Rugby session will continue as before.

Doing this means that for now we can continue to offer the drop in service at meets, however if we continue to struggle for volunteers we may have to stop the meets altogether or change the format again. If you are interested in volunteering please do get in touch!
